Buddhist Wisdom in Modern Music

I started using Bodhi-Bowl as my artist name in 2025, right after discovering the potential of AI music generation.

I have always loved music, but I am not a musician. I cannot sing, play an instrument, or read music. Yet, for as long as I can remember, I wished for something I rarely found: modern Buddhist music that I would actually want to listen to.

My tastes run across pop, electronic music, jazz, lo-fi, dance, and other contemporary sounds. So when AI tools finally gave me the ability to translate Buddhist teachings, stories, suttas, sutras, and reflections from this blog into actual songs, I decided to give it a try.

And just like that, Bodhi-Bowl was born.

Most of these songs begin with a familiar anchor: a core Buddhist concept or an ordinary human experience—love, loss, loneliness, anger, burnout, relationships, uncertainty, joy, or simply the daily friction of being alive. From there, I ask a simple question:

What would Buddhist wisdom sound like as a song?

While the musical production is shaped with the help of AI, the heart, themes, and ideas come entirely from my own exploration of Buddhism and the quiet moments of everyday life.

Music to Share

The goal behind all of this is simple: to let these songs travel.
