Lemon grass tea

Lemongrass is a common herb in Asia and it is believed that it drives away ‘wind ‘ ailments. For example flatulence and rheumatism.

To prepare,

wash the Lemongrass and cut it to half inch pieces.

Let it dry and sun under the hot summer sun.

Once they are dried, you can store them in container and use them for tea.

To prepare the tea. Just place some dried lemon grass in a pot or cup. Add hot water and let it infuse. This can be considered a herbal tea and should not be over consumed. Once or twice a week is ok. Like all things, moderation is the guiding principle towards a good balance life.

You can add a bit of honey to sweeten it too.

On a hot summer, you can add mint leaves and ice to the tea. That makes a nice refreshing drink for summer.

Hope you enjoy this simple but beneficial beverage.
