Song: Solution

“Solution” is the Radical Anthem We Need? Maybe.

“They needed a halo… I gave them a mirror.”

(People who feel good about themselves when they are playing their “saint” role.)

We’ve all been there: you try your best to fit in, you put on your best behavior, and yet the criticism comes anyway. “Too boring.” “Too plain.” You find yourself targeted, labeled, or left standing awkwardly on the outside of a group that has ganged up against you.

It was exactly this memory of social awkwardness and isolation that drove the creation of “Solution,” the explosive new single from Bodhi-bowl.

Musically, it’s a high-energy K-pop-infused adrenaline shot with sharp brass stabs and tribal stomps. But underneath the heavy beats lies a brilliant act of spiritual rebellion. By weaving the Korean Heart Sutra (Gwan-ja-jae-bo-sal…) into the post-chorus, the song uses ancient wisdom to tackle a very modern pain. It reminds us that when you stop letting others define your identity, you become entirely free. You aren’t the problem, so stop looking for their solution.

Bodhi-Bowl: This song recollects a time when I felt socially awkward and didn’t seem to fit into any group. A time when people believe there is something wrong with me, a time when I needed forgiveness, needed management, needed their acceptance. This song is a shout-out to leave me alone. Thank You!

Lyrics

[Intro]
They needed a halo…
I gave them a mirror.

[Verse 1]

High heels on marble, echo like a warning
Lipstick like a blade, cut the perfect morning
Used to play the angel, feathered and discreet
Now I write my truth in the rhythm of my feet

You call it dangerous, I call it awake
Every smile I wore was a mask I had to fake
Now the silence louder than the praise you gave
I’d rather be real than a saint you can save

[Pre-Chorus]

I hear the whispers, “She’s gone too far”
But distance is freedom, I like who we are
You built a story, I burned the page
Ashes look better on me anyway

[Chorus]

If I’m the problem, then stop looking for the solution
No more illusions, no more confusion
I don’t need saving, I don’t need absolution
Watch me dissolve in my own revolution

[Chant]
No self, no shame, no name to defend
No crown, no blame, no need to pretend
If I’m the villain in your institution—
Then stop looking for the solution

[Post-Chorus – Korean Heart Sutra Hook]

[Sutra Quote]
관자재보살 행심반야바라밀다시
조견오온개공 도일체고액

(Gwan-ja-jae-bo-sal haeng-sim ban-ya ba-ra-mil-da-si
Jo-gyeon o-on gae-gong do il-che go-aek)

[Verse 2]

Sharp eyeliner wings, I don’t need to fly
Cutting through your labels, let the old me die
You want a sinner? Fine, I’ll take the role
But there’s no one left here that you can control

Burning every bridge just to feel the heat
Fire in my lungs, freedom in my beat
You see destruction, I see release
When nothing is mine, that’s the purest peace

[Pre-Chorus 2]

You fear the shadow, I became the night
No wrong, no right when there’s no one to fight
You say I’ve changed—yeah, that’s the truth
There’s no “me” left for you to accuse

[Chorus]

If I’m the problem, then stop looking for the solution
No more illusions, no more confusion
I don’t need saving, I don’t need absolution
Watch me dissolve in my own revolution

[Chant]
No self, no shame, no name to defend
No crown, no blame, no need to pretend
If I’m the villain in your institution—
Then stop looking for the solution
