Producer’s Thought
I used to think there was a secret moment in adulthood where everything would suddenly snap into place. You know the script: you lock down your career aesthetic, find your permanent signature scent, stop changing your mind on a whim, and finally become that effortlessly put-together person who always has a neat five-year plan tucked into a leather binder.
Spoiler alert: I am nowhere near that person. And honestly? I’m starting to think nobody else is either.
My new track, “WORK IN PROGRESS,” is an upbeat, windows-down indie-pop anthem about giving ourselves permission to be unfinished. It’s about laughing at our own backtracking, dropping the heavy expectations of who we “should” be by now, and realizing that constant evolution is kind of the whole point of being alive.
If you’ve ever changed your mind three times before lunch, bought shoes you didn’t need, or realized you’re still trying to figure out who you are—this one’s for you. Turn it up loud, roll the windows down, and let’s embrace the mess together.
The Message
- Break Free from the Script: Refuse to let yesterday’s scars or the noise of the world dictate your tomorrow.
- The Power of Intention: True change starts with a single conscious breath, a focused thought, and the will to steer your own path.
- Embrace the Now: As the outro reminds us—we aren’t finished, we just started. In the power of the present, we are free to rewrite our story.
