A picture speaks a thousand words.Kakunodate is awesome with its Sakura blossoms!Explore old Samurai houses and marvel their love for Sakura.Across the river. 2 rows of sakura trees planted along the river bank create a sakura tunnel when their branches spread towards each other.Tried their traditional stew during lunch. Nice and simple broth with rice cake.KiritanpoThe chicken and egg topping a bowl of rice is also simple and hearty.This place has foreign tourist arriving by the bus load. Locals arrive by train loads.Arrive early if you want to beat the crowd.
