Day 4: Natural Wonder

After 3 days of city exploration, I am excited to visit some marvels of nature.

Three Natural Bridges

The Three Natural Bridges, located in the Wulong District of Chongqing, are an awe-inspiring natural wonder and a UNESCO World Heritage site. These three massive limestone arches are the result of millions of years of natural erosion and geological activity. The bridges—each unique in size and shape—stand majestically in the heart of a scenic gorge, surrounded by lush greenery and dramatic cliffs.

Chongqing Wulong Fairy Mountain, National Forest Park

Fairy Mountain National Forest Park boasts peaks soaring to 2,023 meters, with a pleasant average summer temperature of 24°C. The park is renowned for its vast grasslands, rare expansive forests, snow-covered plateaus, and lush greenery, earning it the nicknames “Eastern Switzerland” and “Foremost Austral Pastures.” In winter, Fairy Mountain becomes a snowy wonderland, with frosted trees and icy landscapes that create a truly enchanting atmosphere.
