I visited the Mipig Cafe in Nagoya to experience the company of micro pigs.

There are many pets cafe in Japan, probably due to the busy lifestyle and limited space at home.
The pigs are clean and extremely cuddly. Much like what I imagine. So upon sitting down on the floor and covering my legs with a blanket, the pigs SWARMED towards me!
I made the mistake of extending my legs initially and all of them decided that I was their new human bed!
Having 10 to 12 pigs stacked on your legs can be very numbing, literally….
So it became more manageable after I changed to a crossed leg position to limit the numbers of pig climbing onto their new human bed.
Once you settle down comfortably, their company can be very relaxing as they snooze on your lap. Aww, so cute.
BUT, before that, it was quite chaotic as they fight for a space to sleep. Squealing and squelching with each other, “my human, my human” jostling one another to board your lap. plus, I was trying to decide which position suits me better. So a bit of a chaos…😅
And they are wet! So this is my first encounter with pigs and they seem to be ‘munching’ non stop and salivating? Plus wet snout?🐽
Ahhh, that’s why you need to cover up with a blanket.
I guess some people might not be comfortable with that…
Although their tinny hoofs are soft, it can still scratch you during their tussle, so wearing pants is probably a wiser choice for gals. Otherwise sit cross legged and wrap up your legs with the blanket.
But once they turn on snooze mode, it was quite alright for me.
For an hour at this cafe, I have to pay about USD 20. Half an hour would be about 10 dollars.

I finally got the chance to pet and touch a life pig.😅
Definitely a memorable and fun experience for me. Sitting there, cuddling the pigs and petting them. Chanting for them….
May all be well and happy.
