It’s my 2nd vacation in China this year and this time round, I will be touring southern china, starting from Xiamen,Fujian.

My first stop was 屿见闽南 (Yǔ jiàn Mǐnnán), a “Fantasy Theme Park” where an entire mall has been transformed into a sprawling, immersive stage. This attraction is less a traditional park and more a living, breathing theatrical journey through Chinese culture.

Throughout the day, a continuous stream of performances—from intimate acts to large-scale spectacles—unfolds around you. The experience is designed as a “walk-through” adventure: you follow the flow of performances, going from one elaborate set to the next, pausing to capture photos at the countless picturesque spots in between. Lining your path are retail shops offering unique souvenirs and vendors serving ancient street snacks.

While you could easily lose half a day here by catching every show, non-Chinese speakers should note a potential challenge: all signage and schedules are exclusively in Chinese. However, the visual spectacle of the performances—from aerialists soaring overhead to vibrant dances and songs—is universally entertaining. You don’t need to understand the language to be captivated by the artistry and energy.
In the evening, I took a stroll at 中山路步行街(zhongshan road shopping streets) it’s enjoyable browsing the souvenirs, eating street food and soaking in the atmosphere.

Finally tried a street snack with sand worm in jellatine.

Definitely not something that I would crave.
That was all the adventure for the day.
May all be well and happy.
